About Relay for Life:

Relay for Life is a team event that celebrates cancer survivors, and raises funds for the Canadian Cancer Society research, education, prevention advocacy and patient services. It is a fun, outdoor and overnight fund-raising event where teams take turns walking, biking or running around a track.

The fight against cancer goes on and we know we're going to outsmart cancer! Hardly anyone can say they DON'T have a friend or relative that has battled this terrible disease.We are asking for your help in raising funds because we think its important that we all join together to FIGHT BACK against cancer!

History of the The Crusaders Relay for Life Team:

With the idea of fighting breast cancer and now fighting all cancers, the ladies of this team are determined to make a difference.
We all have lost someone or know someone close to us that has been fighting cancer or lost their life to cancer.
This Relay team began in 2010 with women from the Bancroft Curves Gym. At that time it was called "Curves Crusaders".
The team name was changed to "The Crusaders" when the Curves gym closed.
The Crusaders have raised approximately $100,000.00 to date.
We as a team have held Yard Sales, Ladies Shopping Nights, Euchre Parties with Silent Auctions, Hockey Pool Draws, and Raffles all while having great fun.
Of course, we could not have done this without the help and support of our awesome community and family and friends.
Thank you for believing in us! We are looking forward to another great year!!
